The Life Style Funeral Director can
be contacted anytime for information and support when a death is expected
or has occurred - 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Usually the Funeral
Director will arrange to meet with the family members either in the
family home to organise the funeral, or at our premises. |

- The
Funeral Director will advise and assist with the necessary and
immediate procedures including the transfer of the deceased person
to our funeral home. This applies to all situations including
deaths that have been reported to the Coroner.
- You
may need to provide basic information about the deceased, including
full name, address, sex, occupation, place and date of death.
Access to a Birth Certificate or Passport, and Marriage Certificate
may be useful though not essential.
- You
may wish to begin informing family members and friends.
- The
Funeral Director will assist you in making the decisions required
to plan a funeral that best reflects the life of the person who
died which addresses the emotional needs of your family.

- Arranging all matters requested by your family, taking
into consideration any legal, social, cultural and religious considerations
relating to the deceased (and mourners).
- Transportation of the deceased from the place of
death to our mortuary facility.
- Preparation of the deceased for your family to view
or for direct interment.
- Collation of certificates from hospital or doctor's
surgery.
- Completion of statutory requirements, including forms.
- Preparation and insertion of newspaper notices.
- Contact with clergy or funeral celebrant.
- Organising the bookings (of the church, cemetery
and/or crematorium).
- Officially register the death with the Department
of Births, Deaths and Marriages.
- Obtain copies of a full Death Certificate.
- Organise all details of the funeral service, including
the supply of vehicles, arranging for catering (if requested),
flowers, music and so on.
- Advise on religious requirements in relation to the
funeral service and other customs prior to the funeral.
